DU Meter is an application which monitors your network traffic. It generates reports both on Internet and Intranet usage. This bandwidth meter enable you to make an analysis either on immediate or on long-term network usage.

The program comes with a very simple interface that displays the network activity in real time. It provides a graphical and numeric readout of the incoming and outgoing traffic. These two types of data transfer are visually symbolized by lines and numbers colored in red, and respectively in green. However, the colors can be modified from the menu according to your liking. With a right-click anywhere on the app's area, you can enable some more options related to monitor window appearance, traffic reports, network connection, and stopwatch activation. For quick access, these functions come along with useful hotkeys.

The tool is intended mostly for users who encounter traffic limitations. It gives you information on downloads and uploads, and it alerts you when the traffic exceeds a certain threshold. What's more, you can set the connection to be canceled immediately when the alert parameters are met. In addition, you can receive periodical reports via email related to your Internet activity. Another useful feature is the one regarding the costs of your network activity. Once the price per megabyte is set, you know the total of your monthly bill some time ahead. more
